Abbreviated Analytical Fee Schedule (10/99)
Prices listed are usually for SINGLE SAMPLE and SINGLE PARAMETER submissions, outside of common package prices.  These are here to help you estimate your laboratory costs, THEY ARE TYPICALLY HIGHER AND NOT YOUR FINAL COST for any series of samples or analyses.

Introduction
Our prices do not include sample pretreatment, digestion, or extraction, as many samples do not require these steps and should not subsidize those that find the requirements necessary.  These procedures are usually required only once although the resulting treated materials may be used for a series or group of individual analyses.   Examples would include such items as digestion (or turbidity measurement to avoid digestion as per applicable regulations), filtration and clean-ups or procedures to overcome sample matrix problems. PACKAGE pricing can be less expensive as preparation or popularity allow us to reduce costs on analytical work.  Since PACKAGE GROUP PRICING offers the best value for your analytical dollar, it is suggested these be selected when ever possible.  These are marked as "PACKAGE" throughout our fee schedule pages, or listed in our selection of standard group analyses.  IF YOU SELECT A GROUP OF  ANALYSES OR HAVE MULTIPLE SAMPLES, BE SURE TO ASK FOR A SPECIAL PROGRAM PRICE, GENERATED JUST FOR YOU.  These may or may not be repeated for the same value, depending or laboratory activity and materials costs over time.  Of course we offer PROFESSIONAL PRICING to companies and agents of many professions too.

Cedar Grove offers a variety of reporting formats to suit our clients needs.  Special formats may be prepared for individual customers with some additional charge, depending on the complexity of the request.  Reports to government agencies on their required forms (as in the Drinking Water Program) are usually completed at no additional charge.  These are usually filed electronically on the required governmental web site. Reports may also be sent to second parties, or FAXed at no charge or a small additional charge (depending on the complexity of the request).  If desired, E-mailed reports may be selected instead of written and mailed reports.  Results are typically more quickly in your hands using E-mail over standard mail.

Standard credit terms of Net 30 Days are offered to all credit approved clients.  Until such time as a credit application is approved, Cedar Grove reserves the right to ask for payment with sample delivery or prior to shipment of requested sample containers.  Most private checks are accepted and we also accept Visa and Master Card.  Delinquent accounts are not only liable for 1.5% interest per month and a $3.00 rebilling charge, but also any collection agency or legal costs incurred by Cedar Grove in recovery of overdue balances.  A complete statement of business terms and liabilities is included with laboratory reports and available upon request.  Due to ever-changing methodologies, costs for reagents and materials, not to mention governmental requirements, our prices are subject to change without notice.

For Microbiological Analyses
The minimum sample size for most bacterial samples is 100 ml (4 ounces), collected in a sterile container.  In most cases a neutralizing compound should be present in the container for unsuspected residual chlorine.  Samples MUST be stored at 1 to 6 degrees Centigrade during holding and transport.  The holding time should be as short as possible, and no longer than 24 hours prior to analysis for drinking water and no more than 6 hours for waste waters.  As for all analyses at Cedar Grove, properly prepared sample containers and instructions are available at the laboratory.

Partial Listing of Common Chemical and Other Analytical Parameters
Volumes noted are in milliliters and masses in grams, unless otherwise noted. Please also note, sample preparation charges may apply should submissions require pre-treatment prior to analysis.  These procedures are usually required only once although the resulting treated materials may be used for a series or group of individual analyses.   Examples would include such items as digestion (or turbidity measurement to avoid digestion as per applicable regulations), filtration and clean-ups or procedures to overcome sample matrix problems.

There is a $15.00 minimum charge for analytical work.

Partial Listing of Common Metals Analyses
Various analytical procedures may be employed. Metals samples are tyoically preserved by the addition of Nitric Acid to a pH equal to or below 2.0 At least a 250 mL (8 ounce) sample is requewsted.  Specific procedures or purposes may require differing sample size.  A plastic or glass container, free of the items of interest and any interfering compounds, should be used.  As with other analyses, proper sampling containers are available at the laboratory.  Some of the most commonly requested metals are listed below with anticipated SINGLE SAMPLE cost for analysis.  This is a partial listing, feel free to contact the office concerning other elements, as well as for a QUOTATION for multiple analytes or multiple samples for analysis.  Costs are lower for preparation, analysis and reporting.  These savings are passed on to our clients..

Sample Preparation or Pretreatment Costs
Turbidity                                             $15.00
A simple turbidity measurement is proof that a liquid has no suspended solids.  This would legitimately permit the exclusion of such pretreatment procedures as filtration, digestion or extraction, depending on the application and sample.

Filtration                                             $15.00 ( May be higher for larger volumes or due to difficulty.)

Digestion                                             $15.00 ( May be higher for larger volumes or due to difficulty.)

  Soxhlet Extraction                              $45.00

 Sonication Extraction                         $45.00

  TCLP Extraction                                $75.00

Synthetic Rain Water Extraction        $75.00

TCLP Zero Head Space Extraction   $125.00
